Children across Kenya are growing up without proper familial support, having lost one or sometimes both parents to AIDS. The majority of these children often lead difficult lives -- performing intensive housework, looking after siblings or caring for ill or dying family members. In addition, these children often suffer physical and emotional neglect, resulting from the cultural and social stigma associated with AIDS in Africa.
Facing discrimination from their communities, these children lack the support to satisfy even basic needs. Their inability to pay for education yields high dropout rates among orphans, who end up begging in the streets.
For these orphans, the crucial rights to survival, education, and fulfillment as human beings depends greatly on external assistance from people concerned for their welfare. The goal of CHEBAGOGO FOUNDATION is to fulfill each child's right to a dignified and healthy existence.

You Can Help
Young orphans in Kenya are lacking the basic necessities for a quality life such as education, food, shelter or clothes.
Your donations help to support AIDS-impacted orphans living in a temporary shelter in the town of Eldoret.
Each donation has a two-fold impact as it both provides for the education and basic needs of the children as well as funds the expansion of the boarding facilities, allowing us to help more children.
